About Angela Jae Chun

Angela Jae Chun (CA Bar License #248571) is a dedicated trial lawyer and the owner of the Law Office of Angela Jae Chun, representing plaintiffs in serious personal injury, employment, and wildfire cases. Her firm is devoted to helping individuals through ethical, client-centered representation and skilled advocacy against insurance companies and corporations. Known for her compassion and tenacity, Angela fights tirelessly to achieve justice and meaningful results for her clients.

About the Firm

Angela’s firm is uniquely situated. We have the skill and financial fortitude to take on major corporate defendants and see cases through to trial. We also collaborate with other attorneys and law firms, when necessary, on mass tort wildfire and other consumer violation cases against corporations that cause harm to more than one person.

Wildfire

Since 2007, Angela has been a relentless voice for wildfire survivors. She is currently advocating for victims of the 2025 Eaton Fire, working to hold Southern California Edison accountable for alleged negligence tied to the devastating losses of lives, homes, and businesses. Through a team effort of lawyers, she also secured over $500 million for San Diego wildfire victims in cases against SDG&E. Prior to starting her own law firm in 2020, Angela established the wildfire litigation department at her previous firm and—alongside fellow attorneys—represented nearly 1,000 wildfire victims of the 2017 North Bay Fire and 2018 Camp Fire, securing over $325 million in settlements.

Education

Angela always knew she was going to be a lawyer. She graduated from UC San Diego in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and an emphasis in Public Law and a minor in Law and Society. She earned her law degree from California Western School of Law in 2006.

Personal Background

Born and raised in Central California, Angela is a proud second-generation Korean American whose greatest pride is her family. She and her husband, Philip Chun, a U.S. Army Special Forces veteran and Fire Captain, share a strong commitment to service and are raising their two daughters in San Diego. In her spare time, Angela stays active with everything from yoga to flash mobs with her Ajumma EXP sisters, and can often be found on the sidelines cheering for her daughters at dance and rhythmic gymnastics competitions.
