About

Our third-party wildfire litigation practice in California addresses cases involving utility negligence related to power line maintenance. These matters call for detailed factual review and careful consideration of liability and damages under California law. We approach each case by evaluating the available evidence and developing claims that reflect the unique circumstances of the fire and its impact.

Lead Attorney

Since 2007, Angela Jae Chun has worked on wildfire litigation matters involving alleged utility-caused fires in California. Through a team effort of lawyers, she secured over $500 million for San Diego wildfire victims in cases against SDG&E. Prior to starting her own law firm in 2020, Angela established the wildfire litigation department at her previous firm, CaseyGerry, and—alongside fellow attorneys—represented nearly 1,000 wildfire victims of the 2017 North Bay Fire and 2018 Camp Fire, securing over $325 million in settlements.
